What We Do

Behaviour Support Plans

Sunshine and Buttercup Therapy Services use a person-centred holistic approach to provide positive behaviour support. Positive behaviour support is about enhancing the participant's quality of life, and their abilities and ultimately reducing challenging/barrier behaviours that limit their goals and living high-quality lives. Our behaviour support practitioners are all registered as practitioners with the NDIS and continue in professional development to continue to enhance their skill set.

Early Childhood Intervention

Early childhood intervention uses a best-practice approach to support children by giving them the best possible start and improving life outcomes by building their capacity. It works at improving the participants' overall development, the family's well-being and the participants; community involvement. Our practitioners are trained in early childhood frameworks and theories to help best support your child's development.

Assessments

Sunshine and Buttercup Therapy Services works with participants with Assessment, Recommendation, Therapy or Training funding in their NDIS Plan, to build their capacity and engage in social and community activities to improve independence and resilience. By providing a skill building therapeutic approach, we can address the desired areas of participants and their families and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Telehealth

We understand that not all participants have access to face-to-face services. At Sunshine and Buttercup Therapy Services, we want to help everyone access support and not be limited to things outside of their control, which is why we offer telehealth services. This ensures that all participants have access to vital services that build their capacity. Many of our existing participants use this service when they are unable to attend regular scheduled appointments. This allows services to go uninterrupted.

Capacity Building

Sunshine and Buttercup Therapy Services works with participants to build their capacity using behaviour support and early childhood frameworks to build their capacity and engage in social and community activities to improve independence and resilience. By providing a skill-building therapeutic approach, we can address the desired areas of participants and their families and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Supervision

Supervision for behaviour support involves providing guidance and oversight to professionals in the industry. Through video calls, supervisors can discuss the application of strategies, review data, offer feedback, and troubleshoot challenges. It also enables frequent check-ins, enhancing the effectiveness of behaviour support. The process includes training, ethical oversight, and ongoing collaboration to ensure interventions are implemented correctly and individuals are making progress.
